Based in Bossier City, Performance Proppants operates the largest reserve of frac sand in the Haynesville Shale, including three state-of-the-art facilities that are within 30 to 75 miles from leading oil and gas producers’ well sites.
We offer five different sand products, including 3100, 40/140, 30/70, 40/70 and 100 mesh, that perform at the highest levels required to service our customers. Why the Haynesville Shale?
The Haynesville Shale, located in East Texas and Louisiana, is considered one of the largest natural gas fields in the United States with an estimated 75 trillion cubic feet of recoverable natural gas. Production from this dry-gas formation has been on the rise since 2016 for several reasons. As improvements have been made in drilling and completion technologies, such as longer laterals and increased volumes of proppant, producers have experienced more cost-effective, improved wells results. Additionally, as demand increases for natural gas, the play’s proximity to major demand centers along with existing and proposed LNG export terminals in southern Louisiana and Texas allows producers to easily serve LNG and industrial markets along the Gulf Coast, as well as potential international markets.
